Help Research a Procedure to Potentially Prevent Blindness Caused By Stickler Syndrome
Did you know? About 65% of people with Stickler syndrome experience retinal detachment in their lifetime — nearly one-hald do so by age 20.
Together we can make a difference! By taking part in this clinical trial, you can help doctors standardize a procudure called laser retinopexy, a minimally invasive procedure to prevent retinal detachment before it happens and preserve sight.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Up to nine visits, including eye exams, the laser retinopexy study procedure, and annual follow-up visits over five years. Some visits may take two hours or more and may line up with your regular eye care schedule when possible.
